A Message From Mrs. Day
I'm so glad you're visiting my page! My name is Caroline Day and I have been the counselor at Mentone Elementary School since 2011. Before joining the MES family, I enjoyed two years at Northfield High School. I grew up in Wabash, IN, attended Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for my undergraduate degree, and earned my Master's Degree in School Counseling at Ball State University. In my free time, I love water sports, traveling with my husband, time with loved ones, hiking, restoring furniture pieces, and trying new recipes.
As an elementary counselor, I enjoy teaching DUSO (a character education class) for every student in the school, meeting with students one-on-one, and working with students through conflict resolution. We work to stabilize student behavior so that optimal learning can take place. I also coordinate, manage, and administer state-mandated testing. I believe it's never too late to make a day better!
As an employee of TVSC, I will be committed to our vision by doing whatever it takes to equip all students to be outstanding today, tomorrow, and beyond.
I will also abide by the TVSC mission by being committed to student success through the development of character, leadership, and literacy.
In addition, I will embrace the core values of collaboration, leadership, character, and achievement to positively support students.
Thank you for sharing your child with us,
Caroline Day
The BIG Idea!
