Mentone Elementary School will host Kindergarten roundup for the 2024-2025 school year on Tuesday, March 19th, at 6:00pm. It will be held at the Mentone Elementary School building. 

Students attending Kindergarten in the Fall 2024-2025 school year must be 5 years old on or before 10/1/2024. 

A birth certificated, vaccination records, and a valid email address are required when the child is registered. 

Registration for Kindergarten students is critical in planning for next year's kindergarten classes. If you have a child that needs to be enrolled, but are unable to attend registration, please contact the Mentone Elementary School Office, 574-598-2590, prior to March 19th.

Attention all students and parents: There will be no classes today due to a scheduled teacher workday. School will resume as normal on Monday, March 18th.

Reminder: This week is parent-teacher conferences. If you have not already done so, please schedule a meeting with your child's teacher. Conferences provide an opportunity to discuss your child's progress and address any concerns you may have.
This Friday, March 15th, school will be closed for a scheduled teacher workday. Please plan accordingly for alternative arrangements. If you have any questions or need to schedule a conference, don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office. Thank you for your cooperation and involvement in your child's education.

TVSC Schools believe that every student deserves access to the highest quality books and are committed to providing the most wholesome resources possible. In pursuit of this objective, we plan to partner with a different book fair provider for our elementary and middle school buildings in the Fall. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a March booking, so we will not be hosting a book fair during the upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences, but we will have a school wide One Book Read event scheduled. Students can participate in activities involving the book The Quiltmaker's Gift. All school libraries will have Community Quilts on display, and Redeemer Lutheran Church has kindly donated a quilt throw in each building to be given away. We will also be organizing a book swap for students during parent-teacher conferences in the library, where students can bring a gently used book to donate and take a "new" gently used book home with them. The library will be open during conferences. In addition to the book swap, we will have an I Spy quilt game and a public library table, with summer reading program information. We invite you to come by and join us; we would love to see you. Rest assured; we will have a book fair for student's again next fall.

Tippecanoe Valley Distinguished Alumni Applications are available. Nominations are due November 4, 2022.
Distinguished alumni will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2022. The itinerary of the day/evening will be released soon.
