Kindergarten

Kindergarten Registration Now Open

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2024-25 school year.
Students attending Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must be five years old on or before October 1st, 2024. A birth certificate, shot records, and a valid email address are required when the child is registered. Please register online on or before April 19th.
Early registration for kindergarten students is critical in planning for next year’s kindergarten program. If you have a child who needs to be enrolled but was unable to attend the Kindergarten Roundup on March 19th, please contact the Akron Elementary School office at 574-598-2367 or the Mentone Elementary School Office at 574-598-2590.

Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation to Host Strengthening Families

Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation is proud to announce the launch of its Strengthening Families Program, aimed at fostering stronger bonds and healthier communication within families. This innovative program is designed to equip parents and youth with essential skills to navigate challenges, communicate effectively, and build lasting relationships.

The Strengthening Families Program will also talk about topics such as active listening, emotional management, goal setting, peer pressure avoidance, decision-making, and fostering appreciation within family dynamics. Through engaging activities and open discussions, participants will gain practical insights and strategies to enhance family cohesion and well-being.

Date: Monday Nights Only - April 8th to May 20th
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Tippecanoe Valley Middle School
Cost: FREE Program Dinner Provided

Tippecanoe Valley Basketball Spring Skills Clinic

Get ready for an exciting opportunity to improve your basketball skills! The VALLEY VIKINGS SPRING SKILLS CAMP at MENTONE ELEMENTARY is open to ALL ELEMENTARY BOYS AND GIRLS! It's a two-day clinic that will help players take their game to the next level. Join us after school in the MENTONE Elementary gym for an action-packed experience. Payment can be made online or on the first day of camp. Don't miss out on this chance to have fun, make friends, and become a better basketball player. See you on the court!

Welcome to Mentone Elementary!
 
I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year and would like to extend to you and your family a warm welcome to Mentone Elementary School. The vision of our school system is that Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation does whatever it takes to equip all students to be outstanding today, tomorrow, and beyond. 
The staff at Mentone Elementary is committed to providing our students with a rich school experience that celebrates student success while continually challenging students to reach their full potential. My hope is that this year will be a successful one for your children.
 
At Mentone Elementary, we work hard to offer students leadership opportunities, hands on learning experiences, and utilize research- based learning strategies on a consistent basis.  At Mentone Elementary, we look forward to building off our culture of success as our students continue to perform and academically grow above state averages.  A number of students and staff would describe Mentone Elementary as having a family feel, and we will continue to strive to provide a supportive and safe learning environment for our students.
